At Royal Caribbean, the cruise search page represents a significant proportion of the site traffic and is the place where online visitors, whether booking online or not, view the cruises option, where they are able to filter and sort, and identify what cruise they would like to sail on. It also doubles as the gateway into the booking engine and offers an alternate path for more details about any one cruise.
Audience:
Online bookers and shoppers
Objectives:
Find the right cruise for my family vacation, then find the best sailing date and price
Pain points:
Filter and list fatigue – want to avoid having to see multiple pages of results to find what’s best for ‘me’; Transparency of rooms, dates and price – don’t want to be surprised at availability of dates or rooms types, or see dramatic increases in price when moving forward.
Imagination can take you anywhere. However, once it meets reality it’s exposed to limitations. You need better materials, faster processors or more experienced customers. Innovation is somewhere in between. It’s an ability to stretch one of these dimensions and give reality a new form. This requires time, patience and eagerness to experiment and change.
Now, let’s explore a new way to search for the right cruise.
by choosing an option from the main navigation, the customer will be taken to a custom landing page, where they will be able to tweak and refine their cruise selection.
